Get it AI-ready
before you hit send.
The macOS app makes folders, documents, and pasted text AI-ready before ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor see them. Unlike the CLI, you get Safe Paste, drag-and-drop, and one-click project audits.

Three ways to prepare
before you share.
Drop a project folder, open a file, or paste from the clipboard — Offsend reviews what AI tools would see and helps you mask or fix sensitive parts. Everything runs on your Mac.

Watch folders in the background and get notified when something changes. Directory checks use paths and ignore rules only — not file contents.

you send text to AI.

Mappings are encrypted on disk; the key lives in Keychain. Hotkeys are remappable in Settings. Built-in detectors cover emails, phone numbers, IDs, API keys, tokens, private keys, and more.

Local-first by design.
Everything runs on your Mac — directory checks, monitoring, clipboard detection, file preparation, masking, and restore. Offsend does not upload content for scanning and does not store prompts, clipboard payloads, file bodies, or detected values.

Answers
before you install.
Short, honest answers about how Offsend behaves on your Mac. Missing something? Email us.
What’s the difference between the desktop app and the CLI?
The macOS app is a full GUI: Safe Paste, drag-and-drop file preparation, project audits with one-click fixes, watched folders, and local AI detection. The free offsend CLI runs the same checks from your terminal, git hooks, and CI — no app window needed. The desktop app bundles the CLI, so you get both.
Where does Offsend work?
Anywhere you can type. Safe Paste targets the focused text field, so it works in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Terminal, Slack, Notion, Mail — anything that accepts a paste.
Does it replace ⌘V?
No. ⌘V stays untouched for everyday pastes. Offsend lives on ⌘⇧V — opt-in, by design. Both shortcuts are remappable.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Detection, masking, and restore all run locally. The only network call Offsend makes is checking for app updates — verifiable with Little Snitch or any network filter.
What permissions does Offsend need?
Accessibility — so it can type the masked text into the active app on your behalf. macOS may also ask for folder access to audit and monitor directories. Without Accessibility, Offsend falls back to “Mask & Copy” and lets you paste manually.
Is anything sent to your servers?
No prompt content, no clipboard content, no detected values, no file bodies. Local counters stay on your Mac. The Privacy Report inside the app lists exactly what Offsend tracks locally.
How does Pro activation work?
No accounts. Buy Pro inside the app, get a 6-digit magic code by email, paste it once — the license binds to your Mac. Activate a second Mac with the same email and code.
